# Transfer

The transfer fee is withheld from the amount sent. The recipient receives the amount minus the fee.

### Base Fee Rate

The standard fee rate is **0.2%** per transfer. T-SpaceX has had a 0% transfer fee since Solana epoch 1047 (October 1, 2026). The scenarios below use the 0.2% rate.

The sender is debited the amount sent. The fee is withheld from that amount, so the recipient receives the amount minus the fee.

## Fee Scenarios

`$T` is used as a placeholder ticker for T-Tokens.

### Scenario 1: Small Transfer

### Additional FAQs:

#### Do I pay fees when receiving tokens?

There is no separate fee on receipt. The fee is withheld from the amount being transferred, so the recipient receives the amount sent minus the fee (for example, 99.8 $T when 100 $T is sent at 0.2%).

#### Can fees change?

Yes. Each token has one rate for all holders, and it can be changed by the token's fee-config authority. Changes are recorded on-chain. For example, T-SpaceX has had a 0% transfer fee since Solana epoch 1047 (October 1, 2026).

#### How can I check the fee before transferring?

Some Solana wallets show the fee breakdown before you confirm. An example:

#### Do I need extra tokens to cover the fee?

No. The fee is taken out of the amount sent, not charged on top of it. A transfer only needs a balance equal to the amount being sent.

#### Where does the fee go?

When you transfer T-Tokens, the fee goes to:

* Tessera's Treasury
* Your referrers (up to three levels, up to 35% of the fee in total), if you are registered in the [referral program](/features/referral-systems.md)
